Need help with stringing an acoustic guitar, please!?
I have an Art Lutherie Ami/parlor guitar that I am trying to change the stings on. Unfortunately, I have never changed them before and am having a problem with the peg of the low E string that keeps popping out. It seems that the string is too thick, although I am pretty sure it’s the same thickness as the old string. Is there a trick, or am I missing something obvious? Or does it have to be very specific strings? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
See link for a complete pictorial on changing steel guitar strings. It should answer all of your questions. Your guitar teacher can help you with this as well.
